Alternative Winter Activities
For Skiers, Snowboarders & Non-skiers
Sainte Foy and its surrounding area has much more to offer than just fantastic skiing and snowboarding. As well as the breathtaking views and traditional mountain village charm, there is a wealth of activities that our Concierge Team can organise for you.
Why not try snowshoeing, dog sledding, paragliding and any number of exciting alpine activities available? Alternatively, you could just take a chairlift up the mountain to enjoy a leisurely lunch on the sunny terrace of a traditional mountain restaurant. Many of our chalets offer spas & balcony hot tubs so you can relax and pamper yourself; it’s not all about battling the cold!
Don’t forget, with your Sainte Foy lift pass many surrounding resorts offer discounted lift passes. Combine that with a Premiere Neige inter-resort transfer and it’s a great day out.
Activities in the Sainte Foy Area
For outstanding views of the Tarentaise Valley and surrounding mountains, why not let us book you on a scenic helicopter flight? A choice of routes will give you a perspective of the world that you will never forget! Book The Mont Blanc Tour (40 mins), The Tarentaise Tour (15 mins), The Espace Killy Tour (10 mins) or The Tignes Tour (5 mins). You can even book a heli transfer to reach other ski resorts in a matter of minutes. Prices from just €45 per person for a short ride…
Ski Scooters & Yooner Sledges
Looking for something different? Try racing down the slopes of Sainte Foy on a yooner or scooter! A yooner is a modern version of the “paret” (Savoyard sled). Sitting about 20cm from the ground, a bit like a snow cart, it is equipped with a shock absorber for comfort and a shoe that allows you to carve turns whilst gliding down the runs – great fun and easy to learn! Scooters and yooners can be rented from all the hire shops in Sainte Foy.
Hire snowshoes (raquettes) from the any of the rental shops in resort and enjoy a different perspective of the mountains. Join an organised outing or book your own guide to learn about the local traditions as well as the flora and fauna. Or, if you’re feeling confident, head out on one of the marked trails shown on the snowshoe map of the area. Look out for eagles and black squirrels as you enjoy the peace and quiet of the forests and hamlets with spectacular views to the glaciers of Mont Pourri across the valley.
