Sainte Foy... A Jewel in the French Alps for Skiers and Snowboarders
Sainte Foy is a boutique winter sports resort in the French Alps, close to Geneva, Lyon, and Grenoble Airports, with a relaxed friendly atmosphere, luxurious properties and uncrowded slopes.
In fact it is such a hidden gem that our guests beg us to keep it a secret!
Alpine Charm - see the video
Sainte Foy enjoys breathtaking views of the Tarentaise valley below while the impressive Mont Pourri towers above. Unlike many larger resorts, Sainte Foy remains true to its roots, retaining plenty of authentic Alpine charm, friendly village atmosphere, traditional Savoyard architecture, uncrowded pistes and fantastic skiing. In fact it’s where ski instructors from other resorts love to come on their days off!
Sainte Foy boasts good snow and this is enhanced with snow-making machines on the pistes. There have been amazing snowfall records over the past few years – with snow still heavily falling long after the season has shut!
Ooops! The secret is out. For those in the know, seeing Sainte Foy en Tarentaise named in The Sunday Times as the number one ski destination in the world will have brought more than a hint of dismay. Long guarded as the place to go by those in the know when the hoards get too much in Val d’Isère or Les Arcs, it is the perfect French ski resort, with its friendly, authentic village atmosphere and pretty, traditional Savoyard architecture. Because of the stringent building regulations, each new development has to have the look and feel of an old style French village, i.e., there are no ugly hotels or concrete here.

Uncrowded Ski Slopes and Lifts
Sainte Foy's slopes offer plenty of choice for beginners, intermediates & advanced skiers, as well as off-piste powder hounds.
Ski in style this winter with stunning views, varied runs & quaint mountain restaurants where you can relax, soak up the atmosphere & re-energise in the afternoon.
One of Sainte Foy's key attractions is that even during peak weeks, such as school holiday weeks, there is rarely a queue to be seen at a chairlift and ski runs are often empty! In fact, we have lots of British celebrity friends and world-famous skiing champions who come here to get away from it all – it’s like your own private ski resort! Just ask Austin Healey, Will Greenwood and the Roxy Girls who all stayed with us last year!
Excellent Skiing for All Abilities
There are currently 35km of piste (ski runs which have been route-marked and prepared by grooming machines) as well as designated off-piste freeride areas at Sainte Foy - ideal for all skiers and snowboarders alike. Whether you're looking for uncrowded, family-friendly beginner slopes or untracked powder, off-piste terrain and tree skiing, Sainte Foy has got it all. Plus, no matter where in Sainte Foy you venture ski runs all lead to easy meeting points.
The tiny village of Sainte Foy high in the French Alps may only be a stone's throw from one of the world's classic ski resorts at Val d’Isère, but it is rapidly gaining a reputation as an oasis of peace and tranquility which also offers direct access to some of the finest off-piste skiing in Europe... The off-piste possibilities are legendary, with some slopes capable of taking skiers through their first gentle turns in virgin snow and others offering some of the most testing extreme adventure...
Great Value Ski Passes
We offer Sainte Foy lift passes at discounted rates when you book your holiday with us - much cheaper than purchasing in resort (although in-resort these cost just €156.50 for a 6-day adult lift pass, almost half the price of Val d’Isère and Les Arcs!) Should you wish to take a Première Neige ski safari over to one of the nearby busier resorts, you'll receive a discount with your Sainte Foy lift pass.
Family-friendly Ski Holidays & Prices!
Offering uncrowded, family-friendly beginner and nursery slopes, the resort is ideal for those just starting out, or looking to build up their confidence, with FREE skiing for children under 7!
Each season we offer family holiday which are designed to be affordable, convenient and helpful. This season we are running our Catered January & March Family Holidays with the option of a free childcare place; saving you up to £395! Check out our Family Ski Holidays Page for full details.
A beautiful quiet child friendly luxury resort. Not sure we can ever go back to a bigger resort after this - we've pretty much had the slopes to ourselves.
